Launch European Social Innovation Competition 2016
The fourth edition of the competition invites people to submit their innovative approaches for the European refugee issue.

On Thursday February 25th the fourth edition of the European Social Innovation Competition++EUSICKennisland organises this competition in co-operation with Nesta, Matter&Co, ImpactHub and Shipyard. will be launched in Amsterdam. This year we will be looking for socially innovative responses to the refugee crisis and approaches that harness the opportunities that migrants coming to Europe can bring.
There is an inspiring and exciting agenda lined up for the day where visitors can get to know some of Europe’s brightest social innovators and hear from experts on this highly relevant and important topic.
During the launch event, Marlieke Kieboom (Kennisland) will organise the workshop ‘Clash of cultures: how to embrace socially innovative practices’ together with Renée Frissen++Renée FrissenRenée Frissen works for the Institute of Public Values and busy starting OpenEmbassy, which will guide status holders in bureaucratic processes. (Institute for Public Values). Chris Sigaloff (Kennisland) will lead a panel discussion with Joséphine Goube (Migreat), Arie Van Duijn (Cisco Networking Academy), Nikandre Kopcke (Mazí Mas), Renée Frissen (Instituut voor Publieke Waarden) and Rami Saed (Refugee company).
The launch will kick off the European Social Innovation Competition. Applications are accepted until April 8th, 2016.
