European Social Innovation Competition Launch 2017
Maker: Georgios Marinakis
DownloadFrom 2 to 5 July, the 30 semi-finalist teams of the 2017 European Social Innovation Competition will come together in Madrid to participate in the Social Innovation Academy. The 30 teams have been selected by a notable judging panel, on merit of having an outstanding early stage idea for this year’s theme of digital inclusion.
During these four days, participants will learn about social innovation and social impact orientation, and will follow workshops on issues such as communication, stakeholder mapping, and business models. The teams have also each been assigned to a coach in order to help strengthen their initiative. Furthermore, the academy includes site visits to different social innovation projects in Madrid, as well as a public networking event with the local social innovation ecosystem at Medialab Prado. More information on this year’s European Social Innovation Competition can be found here.
