Social Innovation Summit 2019

The Social Innovation Summit in Malmö, Sweden, is a two-day conference on November 12 and 13, where entrepreneurs, changemakers, innovators, policy makers, investors and funders gather to find new innovative solutions to the most urgent societal challenges we are facing today. Kennisland’s director Nora van der Linden will join the summit to participate in a panel discussion and to host a workshop on Kennisland's methods, approaches and insights for social change.

The Social Innovation Summit (SIS) is Sweden’s meeting place for innovation in the Nordic region. For two days the conference will identify future topics across all sectors and develop new knowledge about financing, collaboration, policy, research and design for social innovation. Kennisland’s director Nora van der Linden will be there to participate in a panel discussion on the role of policy in social innovation development and to host a workshop on Kennisland’s methods, approaches and insights for social change. Social Innovation Summit in Sweden is a two-day conference on November 12 and 13, hosted by Forum for Social Innovation Sweden++Forum for Social Innovation SwedenForum for Social Innovation Sweden (MSI) at Malmö University is Sweden’s national platform for sharing knowledge about social innovation and social entrepreneurship. From insight to impact – MSI explores and promotes social innovation. Read more  in which future topics across all sectors will be identified to develop knowledge about financing, collaboration, policy, research and design for social innovation. Participants meet and explore interesting examples from the front runners in this field from all over the world. 

SIS came up with a dynamic programme includingthemes that are topNora will talk about tested methods and approaches to work on systems change, starting with the people involved.of the agenda in Sweden as well as globally. In four main keynote sessions and in parallel tracks before and after these sessions, the participants will address and create the conditions needed in order to find new, innovative solutions to the most urgent societal challenges we are facing today.

Kennisland’s director Nora van der Linden will join the summit to participate in a panel discussion about the role of policy in social innovation development. In this session the panel will discuss how policy making needs to adapt to better support social innovation and sustainability. What works today and what can we do better?

Nora will also host the workshop The role of policy in social innovation. She will talk about tested methods and approaches to work on systems change, starting with the people involved. Kennisland’s research and designing of social progress will serve as a successful example for how methods and approaches need to be designed for best public value creation with systemic impact.
